How To Remove Pen Drive/SD Card Shortcut Virus Less Then 30 Seconds.

Before apply a method, I highly recommend you to first Scan pen drive/sd card using an antivirus, and then apply the below methods.

Method one:: Using command prompt

Follow the steps below to remove shortcut virus using CMD:

1. Run CMD as Administrator. (Windows button + R > Type CMD and press ENTER, or search CMD > Right click to CMD and Select “Run as Administrator.

2. Connect your USB(Pen drive, SD card, etc.) with your Computer, which is victem of shortcut virus.

3. Scan pen drive/sd card with an antivirus and if the antivirus found some virus, delete it.

4. Type it in Command prompt:  attrib -h -r -s /s /d X:\*.*, (Where, X is the USB drive letter) and press Enter. (For example: If your pen drive/sd card letter is D, then the command is attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*)

5. Copy all data from pen drive/sd card to your computer.

6. Format the pen drive/sd card.

7. Copy all data back to the pen drive/sd card

Method Two:: Using Software.

I found many software on the internet that can easily remove the shortcut virus. I’m using USB Fix software in this tutorial because it works better and it is a free software. So follow the steps below to using USB Fix software:

1. Download the software, install it and launch USB fix (please disable your antivirous for a few minutes).
2. Close all the running programs in the taskbar (The software kill running programs and you may lose data).
3. Connect all of your shortcut virus infected pen drive/sd card with computer, and Clean it.
4. Wait few moment.. Virus from all connected pen drive/sd card automatically fix.

The software automatically cleans all the shortcut virus from pen drive/sd card.
And very importent don’t forget to restart your computer after using this tool.
